This article explains how our system manages subscriptions, particularly when a new subscription is purchased before an existing one has been fully utilized.
How Subscription Stacking Works
When you purchase a new subscription while an existing one is still active:
- The newly purchased subscription becomes Active.
- The existing subscription moves to Pending.
- The system will continue delivering issues from the Active subscription (the new one).
- Once the Active subscription ends, the Pending subscription automatically activates, ensuring uninterrupted issue delivery.
What Happens with Auto-Renewal?
If auto-renewal is turned on:
- The system will automatically renew your Active subscription when it completes.
- Instead of switching to a Pending subscription, the renewed subscription remains Active and starts delivering issues.
No Duplicate Subscriptions
Zinio does not duplicate subscriptions. The total number of remaining issues in your account includes both Active and Pending subscriptions, ensuring you receive all your issues.
If you prefer not to stack subscriptions, you can:
- Turn off auto-renewal in your account settings.
- Manually renew after your current subscription has delivered all its issues.
